Host FAQs
Who can become a host?+
Anyone 18+ who loves animals and has a safe home — apartment or independent house. You'll verify your mobile number and a government ID, and record a short video tour of your home.
How much does it cost?+
Joining is free. PawsStay keeps a 12% service fee (plus GST on that fee) only when you complete a booking.
When and how do I get paid?+
Payment is collected when the owner books and released to your bank account or UPI 48 hours after the pet goes home.
Can I choose which pets I host?+
Yes. You choose dogs and/or cats, sizes, puppies or seniors, how many at a time, and you accept or decline every request after seeing the pet's full profile.
Do I have to provide food?+
Only if you want to. You can ask owners to send food, offer to provide it for a daily charge, or let owners choose.
What should my video tour show?+
Walk through the rooms your guest pet will use: where they'll sleep and eat, balcony or garden (with safety nets/fencing), your own pets, and the nearby walk route. 1–2 minutes on your phone is perfect.
